Teacher Placed on Leave, Faces Molesting Charge
A Las Flores Middle School teacher is on leave after being arrested on suspicion of “annoying or molesting” a student, county prosecutors and school district officials said.
Elsie Cathy Rodriguez, 32, will be arraigned June 16, according to Farrah Emami, a spokeswoman for the Orange County district attorney’s office. Emami declined Wednesday to release additional details.
Rodriguez was placed on paid administrative leave May 18 by the Capistrano Unified School District, said David Smollar, a district spokesman who declined to comment further.
