Northrop Wins Navy Deal Worth $2.5 Billion

Northrop Grumman Corp. was awarded a $2.49-billion Navy contract to build two amphibious transport ships, the Defense Department said.
The contract calls for the construction of the Navy’s 22nd and 23rd amphibious troop ships and the assembly of raw materials and labor for a 24th, the Pentagon said.
