Man Gets Life for Setting Estranged Wife on Fire

A man convicted of setting his estranged wife on fire after a judge lifted a protective order against him was sentenced in Upper Marlboro to life in prison.

Roger B. Hargrave, 34, was convicted in April on all charges against him: attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder and assault.

Yvette Cade, 32, suffered burns to more than half her body and has undergone more than a dozen surgeries. She appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” last month, where she discussed the attack.
