Down memory lane, to drive-in
The days of my youth as a Southland teenager returned as I read Patt Morrison’s “A Date at the Drive-In,” [Summertime issue, May 25], with emphasis on the Gilmore Drive-In on 3rd Street near Fairfax, back in the nifty ‘50s.
If a “chick” (not a “broad,” as in the swinging ‘60s) agreed to go to a drive-in on a date, you knew where you stood -- or sat! -- or thought you did, and I was as impressed to read that the Southland still has drive-in movies.
