From Times Wire Reports

A minister’s wife pleaded not guilty to the first-degree murder of her husband and told a Selmer judge she wanted to be released on bond.

Mary Winkler gave a statement to police that investigators describe as a confession. Neither side’s lawyers will discuss a motive. A charge of first-degree murder means prosecutors believe the shooting was premeditated.

The bond hearing is set for June 30, a trial for Oct. 30.
