Decorating piano seems out of tune
WHAT’S wrong with the picture showing Jay Landers sitting at the grand piano with his daughter [“Dad’s House, Fine-tuned,” June 22]?
A magnificent musical instrument with the lid down and closed so it can be used to display endless framed family pictures. I can’t tell you how appalling and egotistical that seems. Fine musical instruments are not meant to double as a cabinet to display photos.
How and when did this misuse and abuse of pianos become so popular? Are interior decorators responsible for that?
