A deputy U.S. marshal was killed in a shootout with Memphis police officers who had stopped the agent for driving erratically, authorities said.

Mary Fisher, 46, described as delusional by an associate shortly before the incident, pulled a gun and fired on officers when they told her to get out of her car, police Sgt. Vince Higgins said.

One of the officers suffered a leg wound.
