Old West, New West

I was touched to read Rick Wartzman’s evocation of the original West magazine of the ‘60s and ‘70s (“Yellowed Pages That Still Really Shine,” From First and Spring, April 30). With Marshall Lumsden as editor--and Don Anderson as his sidekick--it was a paradise for writers. We were so lucky.

This new West is so much like it. I couldn’t give a higher compliment to any magazine.
