Odd choice for Bush advisor
Re “Family-planning head leads anti-contraceptive group,” Nov. 17
The Bush administration has made another irrational decision -- the appointment of Dr. Eric Keroack as an advisor on matters of reproductive health and adolescent pregnancy. He is reportedly anti-choice and anti-contraception. That’s the equivalence of a secretary of the Treasury who is anti-money or a secretary of Defense who is anti-gun. How effective could any of them be if they are unwilling to utilize the legal and necessary tools of their trade. Keroack’s organization, A Woman’s Concern, believes that the distribution of contraceptives is demeaning to women. I think the appointment of Keroack is demeaning to women.
