Suicide attack kills 15 in restaurant

A Pakistani suicide bomber blew himself up in a crowded restaurant, killing 15 people and wounding 24, including an Afghan special forces commander and district chief believed to have been the targets of the attack in the southeastern province of Paktika.
It was the 102nd suicide strike in Afghanistan this year. Such attacks have killed 241 people, said Maj. Luke Knittig, a spokesman for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s International Security Assistance Force.
