Safeway Inc. said it had purchased the 43.8% of online shopping and delivery company GroceryWorks that it did not already own, making GroceryWorks a wholly owned subsidiary. GroceryWorks is Safeway’s exclusive provider for online grocery shopping and home delivery. Pleasanton, Calif.-based Safeway did not disclose terms of the deal.
