Ship Rips a Gash Into Freighter on Mississippi

A cargo ship heading down the Mississippi River ripped a huge gash in another vessel anchored west of New Orleans.
The 737-foot Panamanian freighter Torm Anholt was not believed to be taking on water, the Coast Guard said. No injuries were reported. It was hit by the 712-foot Greek freighter Zagora, which was not damaged.
