Early voting now available for Nov. 7 election

Voters in Los Angeles County can cast ballots early at the registrar-recorder/county clerk’s office in Norwalk, 12400 Imperial Highway. The office will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Nov. 6. It will be open Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. On election day, Nov. 7, it will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Early touch-screen voting is also available at 16 other locations throughout the county.

Those who are visually impaired can use the electronic voting units with the help of audio headsets or large-size text. Electronic ballots are available in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog and Vietnamese.

The deadline for registering to vote has passed.

Those who wish to vote by absentee ballot must submit a written request no later than seven days before election day. A complete and signed application should be sent to the registrar-recorder.
