U.S. Space Tourist’s Trip Is Pushed Back

From Times Wire Reports

The Russian space agency postponed by four days its launch of a Soyuz rocket that will carry an American businesswoman to the International Space Station, a spokesman said.

The postponement until Sept. 18 follows repeated delays in the liftoff of the U.S. shuttle Atlantis to the station. That launch, initially scheduled for last Sunday, was pushed back to an unspecified date because of Tropical Storm Ernesto and a lightning strike at Cape Canaveral, Fla.

Anousheh Ansari, an Iranian-born U.S. entrepreneur, paid about $20 million to become the first female space tourist.
