Tribal Elder Suspected of Aiding Authorities Slain

Suspected Islamic militants in northwest Pakistan killed a tribal elder they suspected of collaborating with authorities, an intelligence official said.
Malik Dalai was killed in a drive-by shooting near Wana in South Waziristan, a tribal region bordering Afghanistan, the local intelligence official said.
Scores of people have been killed in recent years in the area over suspicions that they had cooperated with the hunt for militants linked to Al Qaeda.
