Reminiscences of Riverside

Thank you for again including an article by Susan Straight (“Please Don’t Let the Sky Fall,” Aug. 27). Her experiences growing up in Riverside mirror mine (complete with raising chickens and ducks in a tract house). When reading her stories, I can almost taste the dust from the river bottom and feel the heat of summer and the change of seasons. Her writing is so evocative that it reminds me of my childhood all over again.
