11 Suspected Taliban Fighters Slain in South

Police killed 11 suspected Taliban in two operations in southern Afghanistan, said Ghulam Rasool, a regional police chief.
Police killed eight militants and wounded four in the Garmser district, Rasool said. A separate clash in the same district killed three.
Some of those killed were Pakistanis, Rasool said, but he provided no details.
