Dozens Arrested in Crackdown on Mobsters

Police arrested dozens of people in a crackdown on organized crime in southern Italy, also targeting clans that had a grip on the local tourist industry, authorities said.
The sweep was conducted around the town of Vibo Valentia, police said in a statement. The APCom news agency said 35 people were arrested and six were being sought.
The suspects extorted money from operators of sea resorts in Tropea, police said.
