A real jones for Tom

THANKS to Geoff Boucher for his spectacular article on Tom Jones [“It Can’t Be Any More Unusual,” Sept. 17]. Thanks to him, this music legend is getting the respect he richly deserves. In the public’s eye he has for too long been maligned and become more of a caricature rather than being recognized for the gifted performer he really is. In the last two years I have seen him in concert over 25 times, and my money could not have been better spent. I look forward to the day I might meet him personally and experience the charisma that Boucher has so deftly expressed in his story.
