Garry Kasparov, the former chess champion who has become a vocal critic of the Kremlin, was questioned for four hours by security agents. He was ordered to see prosecutors today.

“They have no hook to proceed with criminal charges, but today in Russia, we know that nobody is safe,” he said.

Kasparov was among the chief organizers of last weekend’s Dissenters March in Moscow, at which participants were beaten by riot police. He was arrested and held for hours.
