Ground zero fire not suspicious
Fighting a fire in the former Deutsche Bank building next to the World Trade Center site was complicated by a lack of water and little easy access in the contaminated high-rise that has stood empty since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Investigators said that the cause of the blaze that killed two firefighters Saturday had not been determined but that the fire had not been deemed suspicious.
City officials said the building’s structure was secure and in no danger of falling.
