Counterfeit imports: In an article in Wednesday’s Business section, Steven Lovett, an assistant special agent in charge of immigration and customs enforcement for the Department of Homeland Security, said a thriving trade in imitation pharmaceuticals consisted mainly of fake erectile dysfunction drugs on the West Coast, while the dominant fake drug on the East Coast was the painkiller OxyContin. The agency has since said that Lovett was incorrect and that no fake OxyContin had ever been seized and no regional disparity existed in the types of imitation drugs seized.
