Mirror of South African life
Michael Schur, of Santa Monica, caught these narcissistic rhinos admiring their reflections at a water hole in South Africa’s Kruger National Park on an afternoon game drive last month. On this three-week tour of southern Africa, “we saw rhinoceros, leopard, lions, cheetah, cape buffalo, impala and beautiful dotted birds,” Schur said. The Schurs also have traveled to Bhutan, Zaire, Kenya and Tibet, among other spots. Because he lost his camera at the beginning of this trip, Schur used his wife’s Nikon D70.
