CBS dominates top 10 shows

CBS had eight of the week’s top 10 prime-time programs last week, making it the most-watched network for the eighth time in the season’s 12 weeks, according to figures released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research.

CBS averaged 11.08 million viewers between Dec. 10 and Sunday, 29% more than NBC, which was second with 8.56 million.

CBS’ “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” drew 19.87 million viewers to become the week’s most-watched program for the seventh time this season.

Sunday’s finale of CBS’ “Survivor: China” drew the smallest audience for a fall “Survivor” finale, 15.18 million, 8% less than the previous low of 16.42 million for last year’s “Survivor: Cook Islands” finale. However, it still finished second for the week.

The premiere of the CW’s eight-episode mother-daughter beauty pageant, “Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants,” was 110th for the week. It retained just 45% of the 5.5 million viewers for the fall season finale of “America’s Next Top Model,” which preceded it. Despite finishing sixth overall in its Wednesday 9-10 p.m. time slot, it was first among girls ages 12-17.
