Are you feeling a “Blue Christmas” coming down your chimney this year? If so, here’s a tip: On Christmas night, get yourself over to the Redwood Bar and Grill ([213] 680-2600) and listen to the best-kept blues secret in town, the Tuesday night residency by Deacon Jones, the former bandleader for John Lee Hooker and sideman for Freddie King and Curtis Mayfield. The engaging Jones told me the other day: “This is the most fun I’ve ever had. It’s a great place to play, man!” . . . In 1941, the El Capitan hosted the world premiere of “Citizen Kane.” Through Jan. 13, the grand old movie palace hosts a slightly different cinematic experience -- more Briar Rose than Rosebud. The film “Enchanted” plus a 24,000-square-foot tie-in event with elaborate games (there’s a “poison apple toss”), Disney princesses in full regalia and props from the movie. My 9-year-old, Addison, absolutely adored it. Call (800) 347-6396. . . . Our notable date in L.A. history this week: Santa Monica native Jack Webb died 25 years ago this weekend. Just the facts: We loved him in “Sunset Boulevard,” and as Sgt. Joe Friday on “Dragnet” and the executive producer of “Adam 12,” the taciturn Webb did more for the luster of the LAPD badge than any real cop. Let’s mark the occasion by going to see every beat cop’s favorite Christmas movie, “Die Hard,” on Saturday at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica (see page 10).
