Setting materialism aside
READING about the Dervaes family [“O, Pioneers in Pasadena,” Jan. 25], was such a refreshing change from the millionaires you normally feature. Until now, all I’d learned about “the inner life” from The Times’ Home section was that having one requires tons of cash spent on meaningless objects.
