Priest won’t fight return to Nevada

A Roman Catholic priest facing charges of beating and sexually assaulting a female employee at his Las Vegas parish told a judge in Phoenix that he won’t fight extradition from Arizona.
Father George Chaanine, 52, was arrested Thursday in Apache Junction. He had been a fugitive since Jan. 26, when authorities say he attacked the woman. He was being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
