What’s the rush?

So I see that Karl Dorrell was given another year’s extension through 2011. Do we really think he’s in demand as a coach and will get a better offer? Why doesn’t Dan Guerrero let him prove himself for another two years before extending his contract again and costing the school more money if the Bruins have to fire him?
