Barkeeps flout ban on smoking
From Times Wire Reports
Bar owners are openly defying the state’s new law that bans smoking in all public places by letting their customers light up.
“We’re being rebellious. Look at the Boston Tea Party. Look at Prohibition. They rebelled and they won,” said a spokesman for a Honolulu pub that staged a recent smoke-in protest.
Honolulu police said they had not issued any citations against smokers.
