3 Frenchmen slain beside road

Three Frenchmen who lived in Saudi Arabia were killed by gunmen along a desert road leading to the holy city of Medina in an area open only to Muslims. A fourth Frenchman was seriously wounded.
The men were resting on the side of the road about 10 miles north of Medina when gunmen fired at their car, Interior Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Mansour Turki said.
