Thrashers edge Bruins

Marian Hossa scored the game-winner and Alexei Zhitnik had an assist in his Atlanta debut to lead the Thrashers to a 3-2 win over the Boston Bruins on Monday night at Boston.

Montreal 5, Toronto 4 -- Sheldon Souray scored his team-leading 22nd goal and the Canadiens got three power-play goals at Montreal.

Calgary 5, Phoenix 2 -- Wayne Primeau scored his first two goals since coming to the Flames in a Feb. 10 trade to lead the victory at Calgary, Canada.

Vancouver acquired center Bryan Smolinski from Chicago for a second-round pick in the 2007 entry draft.... In a three-team trade, Philadelphia traded left wing Kyle Calder to Chicago for defenseman Lasse Kukkonen and a 2007 third-round draft pick. Chicago then sent Calder to Detroit for forward Jason Williams.
