Stories differ on a deal with U.S.

North Korea said it reached an unspecified agreement with the U.S. this week on its nuclear weapons program, but America’s top nuclear envoy said he was unaware of any such deal.
North Korea said the talks between the U.S. envoy, Christopher Hill, and Pyongyang’s chief nuclear negotiator, Kim Kye Gwan, had reached “a certain agreement.”
But Hill said he didn’t know what the statement meant. Hill and Kim were thought to have been discussing when to reconvene six-nation talks.
