A small victory
Re “River is resurrected,” July 8
You may wonder why a New York City resident is writing to you about a local ecology issue, but at a time in America’s history when reading anything about the environment usually concerns its destruction, this article gave me hope, even a sense of calm. Not all is lost; how wonderful! Thank you, Mark Hill, and all those who fought for the restoration of the Lower Owens River. Your work is not just a local victory, it benefits the whole country, the world, some would say.
