Website defends its free-gift offers
Your article “Consumer Watch: A ‘free’ iPhone offer? There might be hang-ups” (June 24) presents a flawed portrait of TheUseful that does not resemble reality.
TheUseful has fulfilled tens of thousands of gift offers. To the best of my knowledge, there is not a single person who has met the requirements of one of our offers without receiving his or her gift. Regarding the customer cited in the article, our staff made the extra effort to resolve the situation and sent cash to her.
Fewer than 1 in 10,000 visitors to TheUseful’s websites complain. Not a bad record.
