Text messages sent before fatal crash
From Times Wire Reports
Text messages were sent and received on a 17-year-old driver’s cellphone moments before the vehicle slammed head-on into a truck June 28, killing her and four other recently graduated cheerleaders, police in Canandaigua said.
Several minutes before the first 911 call about the crash, the driver talked with a fellow graduate in another vehicle. Two minutes before the crash, her phone was used to send a text greeting; a reply came less than a minute before the first 911 call.
