Curbside recycling starts for apartments, condos
Residents of apartment buildings and condominiums can start curbside recycling of household goods and products, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa announced Monday.
Under the new program, residents can dump recyclable goods numbered one through seven, as well as foam items, into recycling bins.
Plastic grocery bags, dry-cleaning bags and plastic hangers also can be recycled.
All buildings are eligible, but residents or building managers need to call the city’s 311 line to sign up for the program.
The city will supply recycling bins to those who sign up.
