An equality to bitterness

Sharon Lynn Bear’s “Next Time, She’ll Get the Better of Him” [Getting Personal, July 5] struck a chord with me, especially about men who do not grow and view all women through the negative prism left over from prior bad relationships. The same can and should be said about women who do the same thing. That generalized negative attitude projected on the entire opposite gender is the worst kind of baggage that makes finding the next woman or man doomed to failure.
