State probe vindicates special ed program
A state Department of Education probe of the Santa Ana Unified School District’s special education program found the district to be in compliance with state and federal law, authorities said Monday.
The investigation was prompted by complaints from two Valley High School teachers alleging that special education students had been shifted into regular classes because there was not enough space to give them separate classes. After interviewing involved parties and reviewing documents, state investigators deemed the district to be “fully compliant.”
