A featured matchup was lost when Lynx guard Lindsey Harding went down because of a season-ending knee injury July 10. Harding, the No. 1 pick in the 2007 draft, averaged 11.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists and had been the consensus favorite for rookie of the year. Now, the Sparks’ Sidney Spencer, averaging nine points and ranking fourth in the league in three-point shooting percentage, is among the front-runners.
