The Sparks have lost three consecutive games, but led league-leading Detroit until the final seconds of their 75-73 loss on Sunday. The Liberty beat the Sparks, 80-68, at Staples Center on June 29 but has dropped its last six games. Center Janel McCarville, who is averaging 8.0 points, has averaged 19.3 in the last three games for New York.
