From Times Staff and Wire Reports

The former president of Enron Corp.’s Internet unit was sentenced to two years in prison for helping mislead investors and analysts in the fraud that destroyed the world’s largest energy trader.

Kevin Hannon, 46, also was fined $125,000 and must serve two years’ post-release supervision. U.S. District Judge Vanessa Gilmore in Houston rejected Hannon’s bid for probation, which his lawyer pointed out was granted to some other Enron defendants.
