Career move

ISAIAH WASHINGTON and his publicist, Howard Bragman, deserve each other, and don’t deserve to be part of such a respectable and upstanding ensemble as that of “Grey’s Anatomy” [“ ‘Grey’s’ Actor Excised,” by Maria Elena Fernandez, June 9]. Yes, Washington formally apologized for his actions, checked into anger management counseling and taped a public-service announcement. But I saw the PSA and his public appearances, and he wasn’t the least bit sincere. The only thing he was upset about was how much his actions affected his career. As Bragman stated, Washington had to “jump through these hoops.”

If Washington had any sense of humanity, he would have done all those things and more regardless of whether he would still have his gig on “Grey’s.”
