Another official quits at Justice

A senior Justice Department official who helped carry out the dismissals of eight federal prosecutors said he is resigning.
Mike Elston, chief of staff to Deputy Atty. Gen. Paul McNulty, is the fifth official to leave the department after being linked to the dismissals of the prosecutors. In a statement, the Justice Department said Elston was leaving voluntarily to take a job with a Washington-area law firm.
