Top figures leave comedy festival

The marquee names scheduled for this weekend’s Latino Laugh Festival -- George Lopez, Cheech Marin and Paul Rodriguez -- have each canceled for separate reasons, leaving the three-day event without a top-tier headliner.

Co-executive producer Barry Kearson said the three dropped out for various personal and professional reasons. But the show will go on: “We still have a wonderful three-day festival with lots of names at seven venues. It’s very exciting.”
