Moms said to be at bar when kids died
From Times Wire Reports
The mothers of five children who died in a Pittsburgh house fire had left the kids alone while they had a beer at a bar, the attorney for one woman said. Both women were charged with involuntary manslaughter.
Authorities had concluded that the children were not left with a baby-sitter June 12, as Shakita Mangham, mother to three of the children, had initially told police. The blaze was sparked by children playing with matches, investigators determined. Two 8-year-old boys escaped uninjured.
