Marchers oppose abortion measures

Abortion-rights opponents marched through the capital to protest measures that would legalize the procedure in the first three months of pregnancy.
Mexican law allows abortions only if the woman’s life is in danger or in cases of rape or incest.
One abortion bill is expected to pass easily in Mexico City’s assembly, where a leftist party dominates. But a similar measure faces a tougher battle in the federal legislature, where conservatives hold a plurality.
