Fowler Museum given $1 million

The Fowler Museum at UCLA has received a $1-million gift from Los Angeles philanthropists Shirley and Ralph Shapiro.
Made in honor of Fowler Director Marla C. Berns, the donation will establish an endowment that will yield income to be used at her discretion. Berns also will acquire a new title: the Shirley & Ralph Shapiro Director of the Fowler Museum.
