Woman, girl were probably stabbed
The day after a woman and baby were found dead inside a well-kept Westminster apartment, a source close to the investigation said Friday that they appeared to have been stabbed to death.
Westminster police spokesman Van Woodson said investigators think they know the identities of the woman, who appeared to be Vietnamese and in her 30s, and the baby, a Vietnamese girl who looked to be only months old.
The bodies were so badly decomposed that investigators were not releasing the victims’ names until further tests could confirm their identifies. They had likely decayed inside the apartment for days or weeks, police said.
For three weeks before the discovery of the bodies, neighbors said the woman’s black Lexus had not moved from its parking space, her apartment lights had shone through the night and mail had piled up at her door until a manager entered and discovered her and the baby Thursday.
