Hershey Co., the nation’s largest candy maker, said it would close an Oakdale, Calif., plant with 575 workers, the fourth such closure announced in less than three months as the company seeks to cut operating costs and expand overseas.

Diestel Family Turkey Ranch of Sonora, Calif., recalled 6,907 pounds of ready-to-eat turkey products that might be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a potentially deadly bacteria, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said. The products were made April 20 and distributed in California and five other states.
