Re “Kansas toll hits 12 -- but the rubble gives up a survivor,” May 8
Can the survivors left destitute by the tornado in Kansas gain any comfort knowing that tents and other emergency materiel are unavailable because the Kansas National Guard shipped them to Iraq? In the aftermath of a major fire, earthquake or civil disturbance in California, would we find that the California National Guard is similarly unprepared to respond?
